Valencia so close to the Champions

Valencia did well for themselves on Sunday, after securing a precious three points in a 1-0 win against Granada. They had been standing on treacherous ground the past few weeks, as they continued their fight to keep Real Sociedad from La Liga’s fourth and now most precious Champions League qualification spot.

The win was crucial for Los Che, as it ensured fate would be in their hands going into next week, as a win against Sevilla will guarantee Real Sociedad no chance to take their spot.

It was a hard fought game for both teams, as they went into the half with a scoreless tie. However Soldado was able to break the drought shortly after the half after a beautiful cross which he finished in the 59th minute.

Granada are just safe from relegation, sitting in 15th place, and go into their last match against Getafe with not much to play for.
