Barcelona carried on their imperious form with a 5-0 demolition of Rayo Vallecano. Cesc Fàbregas broke up the Vallecano defence in the 20th minute, playing though David Villa who got on the end of the cross and scored an impressive goal, defeating the goalkeeper Rubén with a solitary touch.
Rayo had positioned its attack bravely, with the intention on rattling the supposed uncertainty of Busquets and Adriano, who have been re-positioned as central defenders following Barca’s defensive injury crisis.
