Osasuna vs CF Malaga – Preview
Both teams come into Monday night’s encounter in mixed form with just 2 wins from the last 5 and in danger of running out of steam as we enter the business end of the season. With matters at the top of La Liga all but concluded following Saturday’s ‘El Clasico’, Malaga will be hoping that their quest to dine at Europe’s top table can get back on track with 3 points against an Osasuna side who are seeking to secure European football themselves in the ever improving Europa League.
Last week saw “Los Boquerones” stumble to a 1-1 home draw with Real Socieded, where as Osasuna left Real Betis empty handed after a 1-0 defeat which saw them harshly reduced to 10 men in what proved to be a frustrating outing for Jose Luis Mendilibar and his team.
A quick look through the history books would suggest that there will be goals on Monday night, with “Los Rojillos” finding the target in their last 10 match ups against their Andalusian counterparts, yet Malaga have only lost once in 11 outings to the Estadio Reyna de Navarra.
