Celta Vigo in danger of relegation after losing to Real Betis

betis-vigoRuben Castro helped Real Betis get back in the win column Saturday, keeping their chances alive for a long shot at catching Real Sociedad in 4th place. On the other hand, Celta Vigo may be headed back to relegation just one year after a joyous return to the Primera Division.

Os Celestes came into Benito Villamarín hoping to turn around a loss to Atletico after scoring 7 points in the three matches prior. However, after Fransisco Chica drifted to the right and centered a beautiful cross, Ruben Castro ended those hopes with a beautiful finish in the lower left corner.

Real Betis has three matches remaining in the season, with a contest next Monday against Mallorca. Celta Vigo finishes the season with Valladolid and Espanyol.

Valencia experienced their fourth loss of the season in La Liga after just nine games. Their defeats have all come away from home, and  this time they were losers at the Benito Villamarín stadium, losing 1-0 to Real Betis.
